Synopsis : The Greek muses incarnate themselves on Earth to inspire men to achieve. One of them, incarnated as a girl named Kira, encounters a musician/artist named Sonny Malone. With the help of Danny McGuire, a man Kira had inspired forty years earlier, Sonny builds a huge disco roller rink.

Brothy's Favorite Scene : The scene where sonny rollerskates through a mystical brick wall in search of Kira and appears in the realm of the gods. Kira's Father Zeuss does not approve of this punk disco musician type. It's the story of my life.

Brothy's Fast-forward Segment (the scene they could have left out): The Dance sequence between Danny (Gene Kelly) and Kira (Olivia Newton-John). Why? Because the great Gene Kelly sold out and somebody caught it on tape. What a shame.

Brothy's Opinion in a Nutshell : 1980 all packed into 93 minutes. Disco was in its death throes. The hot pink, punk inspired, feather hair of the 80s was on the horizon. This movie is the gateway. This film put disco out of its misery and ushered in a decade devoted to cheese and parachute pants. In a nutshell, this movie is the fulcrum point of an entire generation. Plus E.L.O. and Olivia Newton-John sounded great together.
